Non-Binary

The feminine is dark

It is malleable and soft

It is gentle and sensitive

It is fierce and opaque

A woman can nurture

She can also destroy

With a fierceness like no other

She is mother

And warrior

Yin or mother Goddess

Can be clean and white

She also holds a sword

Able to cut through

The worst ignorance

She is a protector

Of animals,

Nature and humans

Her purity is deafening

Masculinity is strong

Brotherly love is fellowship

It is a reminder that we can still

Function and organize

As a group

It is mechanical and useful

Like a machine or a tool

Fathers are providers

Sons are workers and friends

God as a man is shelter

A brother to all

He is a safe place to land

But his bosom is different than

A woman’s bosom

It is fertile yet

With ideas and knowledge

He is our teacher

He provides guidance

And comfort

Together, mother and father

Provide unity and protection

Male and female are a team

As non-binary

I hold both sacred energies

Within me as hope

That I may integrate

Into the authentic

Person that I imagine

Myself to be

I am whole with both

Masculine and feminine

A man in a woman’s body

I hold both energies

Very close and sacred

I worship both mother and father

My inner man yielding to

My female form and body

My female body

Yielding to my masculine soul

There are many genders

In a non-binary world

That hold the pieces

And complete a puzzle

Of a compilation

Of both male and female

Entity and nature

We can be both and many

And integrate

I am many parts male and female

Within my non-binary self

I am whole

In all my complexity

There is still much

To explore and learn

About myself, male and female

God and Goddess

Yin and Yang

They blend and merge

To make me unique

And complex

Honoring both and many

Within my unified self
