Today I died my hair purple

The color of Loyalty

The color of complexity

The color of Creativity, Visions

I host this color hoping to delve into my many moods and deeper understand them

When I see purple I think of depth and seeing the world that lives in the reflection of the puddle, the window, the sky

Somewhere I see a writer emerging, a lover coming to the surface, and a relaxed and free thinker breaking free

Purple is also the color of wisdom, dignity and peace

Let the essence of these words flow over me in the coming weeks

Let them help to uncover the creative and wise self inside of me that yearns to be discovered

Let the color of purple enhance the sacredness of the moment I live in

Help me be a true and loyal friend to myself, emitting love, and welcome loving interactions with the people I come in contact with

Let purple uplift the spirit

Of this old clock, this old shoebox

Dotting speckles of purple paint

On the black and white pages

Of me, a poem unread

A story unconcluded

A bird still caged

A song yet to be sung
