A Vision of Heaven

I had a vision of heaven;

I was asleep,

It was in a dream.

I was with my friend Heather Jones,

Her house was there, and it was a mile high,

Platinum, not dark grey like in real life,

And we were on a large stone brick road.

It was wide and empty.

Though the scene was platte,

It glowed from within,

Where did the road lead?

I did not ask this,

For I was so happy,

To be with my friend.

We were young in the vision,

Children, no parents.

Just us

In an empty city,

We were One in the vision,

Heather and I,

It felt like ultimate happiness,

It resembled Ellen Cannon Reed’s ten of discs,

But there were no flowers or bright colors,

And there was no fence;

Steve’s favorite card.

Heaven was all stone,

With a large sky,

There was endless space,

It felt as though it all was

Massive, prodigious, colossal…

And when I awoke,

When I returned,

And my friend was not beside me,

I remembered the color yellow.

My new favorite color became yellow,

Representing friendship,

Just like her grand living room

When we were kids.

Where I saw her grandma sitting.

Perhaps her grandma was with us,

And she guided us home.

Facebook, I cannot find Heather Jones,

Still, I know you are alive, friend,

Because I was with you through

Your difficult birth,

I was praying for you,

A couple of years ago.

I long to find you, Heather

The purple heather was blooming

At the hospital the other day,

And I thought of you.

So, I will pray to the color yellow,

And heaven, the “platinum” city,

Where your house is the biggest,

The most magnificent,

And there are yellow roses

When you wake up.

P.S.

I found the blue shell

hair brush

In a box that was sealed for 20+ years

With my favorite lavender Pony,

And Lesley Miles sent me a family

Christmas Card in the mail.

My favorite toy

And my oldest mistake…
