Ann

Ann was a pioneer

She knew how to guide a spaceship

With her intuition

She could tap into something so deep

That other Aliens, her colleagues

Could not fathom

It had to do with her people, her race

She was the last of her kind

So they put her in the pod

Ahead of the ship

And crossed their fingers

They were on an expedition

Unheard of before

To find a mythological planet

That only existed in the most ancient

Of all of the writings

Of their broken worlds

Their worlds were in shambles

Intergalactic war

Had decimated most planets and homes

They followed in a small ship

With provisions plenty

As much as they could hold

And waited

They waited for a beacon

From Ann who went first

Piet, Fracis, Qurto, and Har

Captain, Engineering,

Science, and Intelligence

Ann was married to Piet

But her lover and soulmate

Was Har

The story was

In ancient scripture

That one of the First Alien races

A single traveler

Had discovered Earth

It was just a barren rock

In a solar system and galaxy

Buried deep in a cluster

Shielded by a black hole

Impossible to find

The Alien planted a single flower

And then somehow returned

To his home world

To document his journey

This happened eons ago

And was but a myth shared

Between the worlds

That were now in desperate chaos

Ann’s expedition

Was but a fleeting hope

Ann landed near fresh water

The landscape was wild

Lizard beasts and jungle

She sent the beacon

And her team followed

They settled near a hill

Not far from a lake

The men then soon went out to

Explore and document their surroundings

Ann waited

But they never returned

She waited and waited

Fighting off wild beasts

Intoxicated by the air

It was terrifying

Soon she died

And the wild flora

Absorbed and ate her body

And her soul

All five became a part of the

Flora and fauna of Earth

Originally an alien being itself

Planted eons ago

Their souls and flesh merged

With this mythological rock

Ann, the first human soul to make contact

With Earth
