God is breaking through the clouds as I walk the three dogs down the beach, large pebbly rocks, sand, shells and agates crunching beneath my feet. To my left I hear a seagull out over the water and I look out to see it is challenging a large bald eagle that is flying along the beach. I follow the eagle with my eyes as it soars down the beach to land in its favorite tree next to another beautifully magnificent bird. I feel in this moment that they are God’s bird, as warmth seems to fall from the beating wings of this glorious creature and it cascades down to bless the entire beach with wisdom and grace.

Wisdom, grace these are potent words. Though they seem to blend and marry, and perhaps could not exist without each other. Wisdom implies that one is gentle, knowing and graceful. Grace is mercy, is living in the moment, and this takes much wisdom to accomplish. These are the feelings that god blessed me with just hours ago as I was experiencing a sacred beach with its beauty and all of its creatures. Knowing that I am safe in the arms of God, and a part of this miracle; that I am special and deserve to contribute my own unique song as an extension of his blessing, brings rewards, hope, endurance, patience, knowledge, wisdom and grace into my life. Every day I grow and change, every day God’s divine hand is influencing all of the tasks and happenings, the change, the staying the course, the decisions, the storms and sunny moments. They all have great purpose. The finite petals of a dandelion, the immense planet of Jupiter, both grand and small in perspective are a part of a greater pattern and purpose. This is where Faith comes in; for we can see this and appreciate a divine order in nature’s beauty, but let us not forget that this extends to us, our very lives, and our thoughts and emotions. The pattern exists within us and our lives and it is a miracle. Humans, Eagles, Seagulls, and the sand and sun that surround us, we are all perfect and exist in a divine order, in a beautiful pattern made of God’s design.
